Think Small
And I mean, teensy, eensy, weensy

Dear Friends,
Don’t underestimate the power of little things. Small gestures. Tiny reminders. Baby steps. Every single one adds up.
That’s what I’ve been telling myself this week as the absurdity and suffering continues all around me. Just this week, SNAP benefits are expiring for 42 million people, leaving them without any way to purchase food for their families. How is this our reality?
It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed, but I am choosing to help the way I know how, with my time and resources, with kindness and creativity. At home, in my neighborhood, in my larger community and here, with you.
That means a call to government representatives to remind them what matters to me. A stack of postcards to encourage the vote. A donation to our local food bank (thanks to my paid subscribers who help make this possible). A kind word to a neighbor.
Am I making a difference? I don’t know. But I do know I definitely won’t change a thing if I don’t even try. So, this is me, trying.
xo Christine

Good Deed of the Day
Check on your family and friends. If you haven’t talked in a while, reach out to see how they’re doing. Life is tough these days, but it helps just to know we’re not alone.
