House Tetris
Taking things apart, putting them back together, and making my house feel more like home
Dear Friends,
Rama has been out of town this week, so it’s just been me and the kids. In my downtime, I’ve found myself tidying up and sorting stuff a lot more than usual. I’m not sure if it’s because of Rama’s absence, Spring’s approach, or the [insert all the expletives] war in Iran.
Regardless, I have made small changes around the house that just make me feel good. Things like organizing the ziplock & tin foil drawer. Throwing out expired toiletries and medicine. Scrubbing down the butcher cart that stores sauces and spices. Swapping in a a perfect-sized-made-for-the-fridge bin for the random bowl that never quite contained all the apples.
During another time, I might have ignored these nagging tasks, but now, I’m tackling them with gusto. I’m not complaining. Every time I turn a corner, I see one thing I’ve shifted, cleaned, or fixed, and I cannot help but smile.
xo Christine
